Ecocert is an industry benchmark for organic certification, as the brand has hosted collaborative meetings with other EU countries for the past twenty years in order to keep expanding upon its already stellar organic standards. This includes only using ingredients from certified farms, which means no pesticides, herbicides, or genetically-engineered or modified seeds go into the production of the herbal extracts the brand uses.

Further, in an effort maintain the highest quality, Nelly De Vuyst products continuously use aloe as a base rather than the skin-irritating oils and extracts other brands opt for.

This product line also uses the diadermic method to set itself apart from others in the industry. The diadermic method refers to the process of shrinking the molecular weight of the active ingredients used, which allows them to penetrate the skin layers in order to effectively treat skin conditions like acne, sensitivities, collagen and elastin loss, and transepidermal water loss.

Nelly De Vuyst has three product lines: Bioscience, Biotense, and Bioacne.

Bioscience, the original line, has been on the market for over six decades and works to target specific skin issues depending on the products within the line. Bioscience products correct rosacea, skin sensitivity, aging, dryness, wrinkles, decreasing elasticity, hyperpigmentation, and natural oil loss.

Biotense, the second line, is ideal for dry and/or mature skin because the five key ingredients in this line (pullulan, hyaluronic acid, acmella oleracea, vitamin C, and glycogen) fight the signs of aging by rehydrating and minimizing wrinkles and expression lines. This product is also safe to use for pregnant women, individuals who are breastfeeding, and those who have undergone chemotherapy.

Bioacne, the third line, treats acne by promoting the beneficial balance of bacteria needed to maintain healthy skin. Microbiota in the skin becomes imbalanced during an acne outbreak, and after pores become clogged, Propionibacterium acnes (a bacteria) multiplies in excess, then releases inflammatory substances in the skin. This leads to the papules and pustules commonly seen with acne.
