We’re all at a unique moment in time right now, where we’re adjusting together to a “new normal.” That’s why the team at Solace Wellness Center & MedSpa want to reassure you that your health and safety is our highest priority, now and always. We will always take every possible precaution in our office to make sure you can enjoy our many services safely — and we will continue to do this long after the pandemic is over.
Your wellness and vitality is our passion! It’s our reason for getting up and coming to work in the morning, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Helping you live your fullest life with confidence and comfort is our daily mission. That’s why we invested in a high filtration HVAC system from the time we opened and have always disinfected the room between each patient visit. We are now staggering appointment times to minimize the number of people in the office at once and accepting hands-free payment options.
We know it’s not just our office that is re-opening to the world again – it’s everyone, in one way or another. And that’s a great thing to see! But it would be all for nothing if we didn’t all do our best, together, to stay safe and healthy in the process. Here are a few pieces of expert advice from the Centers for Disease Control on how we can start safely returning to “normal”:
Grocery shopping:
You can continue to benefit from online ordering or curbside pick-up even if your state is opened up. Those are options that are always available and can be quite convenient. When shopping in person, it’s best to avoid busy hours, such as early evening and weekends. It’s also important to keep wearing your face mask, disinfecting your shopping cart handle, and using hand sanitizer when you leave. Don’t forget to also wash your hands for at least 20 seconds as soon as you get home.
All errands:
Remember to wear your facemask, use touchless payment wherever possible, maintain a 6-foot distance from others and wash your hands as soon as you return home.
Getting gas:
Use disinfecting wipes on the gasoline handle and all payment buttons. Be sure to use hand sanitizer when you get back in your car and wash your hands for at least 20 seconds as soon as you get home.
To help you feel your best throughout this transition:
Stay active:
Getting a little exercise every day can do wonders, both mentally and physically. Every little bit of activity counts, even if it’s simply running up and down the stairs while you’re doing the laundry or pacing briskly while you talk on the phone. Short bursts of activity can still provide big health benefits by improving blood flow, releasing endorphins and reducing stress. If you think that sounds a bit too good to be true, we encourage you to try it for yourself.
Practice mindfulness:
Taking moments throughout your day to be quiet and in the moment is clinically proven to reduce stress and help stabilize your mood. Reducing stress is critical not only for improving your mood, but also for keeping your immune system strong.
Treat yourself!
If you find you excel at taking care of others, it might be difficult for you to shift focus and treat yourself. We want you to know that treating yourself is actually vital to maintaining your overall health, according to research by mind-body experts. And it doesn’t have to involve spending money, either. Even simply breaking up your day with small rewards for yourself such as a nap, a few moments to meditate or stretch, or even enjoying a cup of tea or a favorite TV show can help to boost your mood. Anything you enjoy that also shakes up your daily routine!
